XTL5000 wont tx or rx TMS with xts5000 & xts2500

gday all, im having a problem with my text messaging on my 03 handheld control mic hi power XTL5000 ... i can sms flawlessly between my handhelds (xts5000 and xts2500s) but when i try to send to my xtl5000 or send from the xtl5000 it wont work . i have checked all the settings regarding ip's and so on and they are fine but it just wont work ? could this be a firmware drama.. my xts5000 firmware is 09.00.00 and my xts2500s are 12.00.00 .. the XTL5000 has R15 ... any help with this would be greatly appreciated as id like to be able to sms from my car to surrounding portables and vice versa ... it is driving me nuts . thanks to all who take the time to read my message and try and help me work this pain out

Is packet data encrypted in some of the radios and not others?

In whichever Conventional Personality you're using (or all of them) "Secure II” tab change Packet Data's Secure/Clear Strapping to “Clear”

Or if that option is not able to be changed, you must go to the “Conventional > ASTRO Systems > ASTRO Configuration > Radio Wide” tab and un-tick “Secure Packet Data by Default”, then return and clear the above?

hi all, the xtl2500 mobile, xts5000 and 2500 portables have no drama what so ever communicating to one another. in the conventional personality the in secure II tab the voice key strapping is set to select as i have a button to turn secure on and off. but the packet data tab i am not able to change . i go to the astro configuration and the secure packet data tab is blanked out? im unsure whats going on ..gday all . 588288-001E84-9 is the flashcode of the xtl5000 that wont tx or rx any texts to any of the portables or the xtl2500. cheers all.
