Hello, all!
I have a RIB, a programming cable with a DB25 connector at one end and a RJ45 plug at the other and the radios and software for the following radios: (2) Radius M1225LS, (2) Radius GM300, (2) Maxtrac 888, (1) Radius, (1) MaxTrac, and (1) MCS2000. I purchased the programming cable for the MCS2000 radio but since the other radios use the RJ45 jack to program them, can this one programming cable work on several radios? I recently picked up a CDM1550LS and was wondering if the radio will work with this programming cable as well.
Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance.
Jim
Can I use the same programming cable?

- What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000
Re: Can I use the same programming cable?
The MCS2000 cable is a different pinout than the Radius/CDM cable, they are not compatible.JimmyL1011 wrote:Hello, all!

FYI a Radius/Maxtrac/CDM cable is easy to build, just follow the schematics on the main batboard site.

Yes, it will work with the CDM.JimmyL1011 wrote:I recently picked up a CDM1550LS and was wondering if the radio will work with this programming cable as well.
(For future reference, it won't work with the CM200/300 Commercial Series radios. If you use the search function, there are several threads on that. All you need is a simple adapter to use the same cable on the Comm series. Easy to build.)
Re: Can I use the same programming cable?
However, you can easily modify a standard RJ45-type cable so it will work on the MaxTrac etc as well as CM200/300.
