HT1250 vs HT1250LS boot up tones

Post by g8tzl2004 »

I have two HT1250's with no tags.

At switch on, one radio gives a 2 bleep "dit dit" while the other gives a 3 bleep "dit dar doh"

Does this indicate that one radio is a HT1250LS with different firmware to the HT1250...or do later standard HT1250's use different boot up bleeps to earlier models.

In the CPS: Radio Configuration --> Alert Tones --> Power Up Tone Type

Choices are Normal, Musical, and Disabled.

You might want to check to see if the tone type is set the same for both radios. If they are set the same, then it would be interesting to know more.

Ugh, that musical one is obnoxious.
