Hi
I just purchased a used Conventional HT-1250 128 Channel VHF with the following configuration:
General
Frequency: 136-174MHz
Firmware: R05.18.01 (Appears to be the latest)
Serial: 749TDL1543
Model: H25KDF9AA5[AN] - the AN at the end is present on the sticker inside the radio, however, not listed via the printout I got.
Tracking Info
Original Codeplug Version: 04.11
Latest Codeplug Version: 04.01
Original Programming Source: Field Tool
Latest Programming Source: CPS
Original Programming Date: June 2003
Latest Programming Date: 22-April-2015
The radio turns on and functions just fine...I can access all the options, menus, etc., however, I would like to find out (based on the above info) what version of CPS I need to use. I have the following available at our EOC in town here:
R06.04.00_AA
R06.11.05_AA
R06.12.02_AA
R06.12.05_AA
R06.12.08_AA <---Narrow-band (12.5KHz) only I know
If anyone could suggest which one to install, I would appreciate it.
Tnx
Tim

Re: HT-1250 CPS/Version/Programming Help
The selection might depend on what your going to use the radio for. if it's on the ham band, then try to stay away from the most recent version. It might cause you to have only narrow band. I haven't tried to program one of those radios in a long time. way before the narrow banding became mandated. So a guess would be the R06.05 version.
If the radio has been programmed with a more current version, it will let you know when you try to read it and come up with an error.
