Haven't posted my latest truck here yet...install done by me. I am a Tactical Dispatcher/Field Comm person so I end up using my truck for that a lot. I also do Fire & EMS for the local Fire Department.
I have two Motorola XTL 5000s in VHF. Both are setup identically with the exception of different scan lists. Day to day, one is for Fire, the other Law. One XTL has a Pyramid VRS installed to it and that is turned on/off using the Radio button on the console.
The Uniden 996XT monitors statewide counties and the 536 monitors the statewide WISCOM trunked system. Both are hooked to GPS to turn on and off sites/counties as I travel through the state. The 536 is also setup for Minnesota's ARMER system in the same fashion.
The switches turn the scanners and radios off along with the Garmin GPS and the GPS Antenna's power. The Feniex 4200 controller handles all my lights and also have a photocell tied into it for Night/Day mode. The AUX 1 switch is tied into my garage door opener inside the console...I press the console button to open/shut my garage door. I have a voltage meter/dual USB port in the 5th switch cutout to charge phones or just to monitor the voltage. I also have shore power to keep my truck battery maintained when parked at home or on scene.
I have a master switch that feeds into the ChargeGuard. Ignition sense enabled and theres also a toggle switch on the top of the console to force the ChargeGuard to stay on if the truck is off. I also have a SafeStop ignition switch to allow me to keep the truck idling without the key in it.
I have five VHF antennas along with a shark fin antenna for my Cradlepoint. Next up is to replace the XTLs with APXs dual banders (V/U on one, V/800 on the second).

Chevy Silverado Install
Schrodinger's Radio: It is simultaneously too loud and too quiet, but you will never know which until someone transmits.
Re: Chevy Silverado Install
Which console did you use?
Re: Chevy Silverado Install
Looks good, think I msy have seen it posted in another site as well.
Re: Chevy Silverado Install
Looks great! Where did you get the mic brackets from? I'm in need of one.
Re: Chevy Silverado Install
I used the Gamber Johnson console for a 2014+ Silverado. No drill and it looks great. Mic brackets are Gamber Johnson as well. One "long" and one "short".
