Hello,
I have a uhf xpr-4550 with remote control head.
All I did was move the radio from one vehicle to another.
When it Powers up, the radio beeps and displays "Invalid front accessory" and I get no tx analog/digital.
I unplugged the microphone from the control head and powered the radio up and no error
I plugged in the programming cable into the microphone Jack and the radio recognized the cable. Tryed to read the radio and get a error.
So I unplugged the cable, plugged in the microphone at the RF deck and radio works fine. Same with the programming cable and the software read the codeplug
I checked the pins and they seem to be ok.
Where do I look?
Tnx
Mike

Re: xpr-4550 remote mount invalid front accessory error
With the programming cable connected to the radio and computer, try turning off the radio and then back on. I have seen a connection problem show up now and then and the power cycle of the radio generally gets the computer to talk to the radio.

Jim,
I tried turning the power off, then on.. I tried unplugging power too. It might be a bad pin or a princess pushed back in the body of the connector.
