Minitor V off duty programming not taking

Post by fd2119 »

I have a Minitor 5; the programming is as follows:
A - Silent until alerted for all 5 tones
B - Silent, vibrates when alerted (stores until played back, does not unmute)
C - Silent until alerted for all 5 tones (this is the problem setting - supposed to not alert for the 2 BC tones)
D - Open, alerts for all

The C mode is supposed to open for 3 of the 5 tones (I believe we have configured the off duty setting correctly), but right now, it opens for all 5.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

1 or 2 channel? if 2 channel and using the priority scan, you lose on/off duty switch, can only use silent scan.....which isnt the best method, but is what I have to do at our FD because of part-time and vollies in a combination dept.

Sorry, it's a single channel (no scan).

What Release of the Minitor V software are you using?
The early versions had problems with the On/Off Duty programming.
Current software is Version 1.7.2
Available free here: http://www.motorola.com/Business/US-EN/ ... OR+V_US-EN

Here is information about your situation from the Minitor V ReadMe.txt:
3. Release Fixes

Release 1.2.0 - September 2005
- Enable ON/OFF Duty only in Sel-Cal, Silent Scan mode

Release 1.1.1 - May 2005
- Fixed the special tone system input error
- Fixed the ON/OFF duty setting problem

Hope this helps!
