Old QC-1 Encoder Availability For Tinkering

Post by AL7OC »

I am semi-looking for an old QC-1 encoder with group Z Vibrasender reeds CZ-PZ. We dinked around with them when I was a co-op student at Harris RF Comm 34 years ago. The application there was for HF aeronautical selcall, and they were also present in our fire stations. If I recall, they were full of reeds, wires, mechanical pushbutton switches, and tube oscillators. Any of these still around looking for a home? Kind of thinking that I would someday replicate and old dispatch position, complete with a Gamewell gong and punch tape. The neighbors might get pissed off if I install a diaphone on the garage roof...
