Batboard

Does anyone know what would cause a CM300 to be locked on saying unassigned with a solid tone and unable to do anything?
The radio was powered of and turned back on and it was fine.

I did not see it just what was explained to me. I am aware with the assigned being displayed when in the scan menu.

any thoughts?
