CDM F/W R05.01.00 any reason to upgrade ?

CDM F/W R05.01.00 any reason to upgrade ?

Hi all,
Just got a NOS CDM1250. It is from 2002 with R05.01.00 F/W. Planning on converting it to a rear mount. Any compelling need to update ?
