MT2000 2 short beep then a long

MT2000 2 short beep then a long

Getting 2 short beeps on power up then a steady long low tone several seconds later. Four or so vertical bars on the display. Would it be worth buying a new battery to see if it resolves the issue or just go on the market for a new radio?
