I need to test the power output of a XPR3500 transmitter. I found a PMLN6154A RF adaptor for $ 158.03 and a RF adaptor holder for $ 158.03. Do I need both of these? Is there a cheaper way to test?

I am not sure of the part numbers but the one I have consists of 3 parts. One is wire with an N-connector on the end and some proprietary connector that it screws onto. The other is a plastic piece. It screws onto the antenna connector to hold a guide in place so you can slide the connector into the radio. I believe the opening for the connector is behind the Motorola label on the front so you'll have to peel that off to get to it. If you're lucky, you wont ruin it and be able to put it back on.

The external antenna connectors for the XPR3000 and XPR7000 series portables are terrible.

If you absolutely must have a XPR7550 with a SMA connecter, you can buy this. But it's twice as expensive. GARY
