APX8000(XE) on ebay

APX8000(XE) on ebay look like new ,even some with tag(original? who knows...)
very lower price ,cool flashcode ,the newest firmware...
seller say all radios are not development and not hacked buy depot..
anybody buy it?
whats guys ?

If it's a "new" radio with a valid serial number, why no tags? Do the math.
FWIW, there is a problem with the VOCON boards in the 8000XEs. Ours are in the process of being replaced.

Sidenote: all of that seller's radios are without tags but have "valid serial numbers". Something doesn't add up.

What does the VOCON Boards do?? You have anymore information on this issue...???

If the radio does not have a tag from factory on it, The radio is a parts built radio. Does not matter what they say.. They are blowing smoke up your ass.. Allot of these sellers are duplicating serial #s of stolen radios and such. So if you bought the radio and say you decide lets see what happens if i send to depot. They might confiscate it because it could be flagged as stolen federal property or such..

I would not advise on buying those units, Especially spending that much money and end up with a brick or no radio..

Ah, Mr. Alvaro Agon. Where do all these radios w/o tags come from? One had a serial # where the 5th digit showing the year made was long before APX's were made. GARY
