Batboard

I know there was some hack that could do this, but alas, my searching can't find it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You can go to 160 modes with no problem. It was a standard option for the radio. If you go above that it's at your own risk. Strange things happen and you may have to back down the number of modes to have normal operation.
