I have a mix of Astro25 and APX portables and mobiles that I am currently keyloading DES-XL and DES-OFB with a T3011DX. I now have a need to also be able to load additional AES keys with a KVL3000+ from someone else.

Is there a way to set up the radios so that I can do this? Thus far I have only ever loaded keys with the T3011.

On the Astro25 stuff it depends on whether or not you're using CKR key management. In the APX you just check "PID Key Management for ASN Mode" and make sure your physical key slots line up with the T3011, and you can intermix CKR and non-CKR keys.

Can you elaborate more on the proper settings for Astro25? I am currently using PID key management with 7 DES keys.

I'm not sure you can intermix CKR and non-CKR keys in an Astro25 device, but if you don't need CKR at all just uncheck "CKR Key Management" and load away with your 3011DX.

You can mix CKR and PID on all devices from ASTRO, to ASTRO25 and APX series.
