APX7500 MP TIB Microphone

I have a APX7500 Dual Band, Mid-Power Remote Mount with two O2 Control Heads installed in a Fire Engine. One head is at the pump panel, the other head is in the cab mounted high on the upper brow for the driver and officer to use.
I wanted to eliminate the inside microphone cable from hanging down so I had the concept of remotely locating the microphone connector using the PMKN4034 20' extension cable and routing that to the J700 connector on the TIB.
I cannot get the microphone to work using this concept. I tried plugging the microphone directly into the TIB with no luck. I feel like I am missing a CPS setting.
Any suggestions on if this is even possible?
