Hello ... my ifr 1600s has been loosing the set memory if i set up it and use it then after i turn the power off then come back turn it on all goes to default settings is there a memory battery?

yes ...not sure what version you have but there is one on the Memory card ...next to the processor.

There are a number of versions of processor and memory cards but if your battery is dead it's probably one of the older versions.

It's probably the Smart Battery module which is held in by a screw and has a 14 pin DIP socket underneath.

should be a Dallas DS1260-100 Smart Battery and a 16 pin DIP connector

Is this chip in a dip socket anf how hard is it to change?

if i order this Dallas DS1260-100 Smart Battery can i just replace it

I can not find the DS1260-100 Manufacturer:DALLAS Encapsulation:DIP-16,Smart Battery in my 1600s can someone point me to it
