Ok, this year is we are finishing our Astro prodject, and I am meeting with our M rep next week. We currently run a two position 8 bay Centracom II setup (with a little 1 bay + corner piece).
My fear is that the admin will want to reuse the funiture. With the addition of the Gold Elite, that will make 4 monitors. Currently only 1 monitor is recessed in the console, and the other 2 are 17" LCD Compaq monitors sitting on the desk. The add in the VCR's etc.
How big of a bay or solutions has anyone come up with using the older mounts with newer stuff? I personally would like to move everything into another room and start fresh, but I think I will lose that battle in no time.

Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system
The old CCII console 'furniture' was the first thing to go when our dispatch center upgraded to Gold Elite. Much nicer to install regular 'cubicle' type desks than deal with the old ugly stuff. Anything else such as loggers, VCR's, etc are located in another room.

That's what I thought. The sales rep was over today, and I tried to impress upon him as much as possible to push the "get rid of funiture" thing to the admin.
So far it hasn't worked.
They are talking about putting arms and stuff over the top of the console etc, and dropping some other stuff around, and I don't see it working...oh well. If anyone has pics of their CCGE setup, please post or email them to me..
Thanks!

The Dept of Natural Resources here has a very nice set-up. I'll see if I can get some pics for you. The 911 center is ok, but not nearly as neat & tidy (the result of jamming everything in with little to no foresite planning for cables & electrical outlets...not to mention overall space).
