Re: Saber SVA Question

Post by ricciticcitembo »

That, my friend is a damm good question. I will try it soon, and report
back. For some reason I think I already tried it, and it Does work.
But I'd have to do it again since It's been so long, I don't remember.
Maybe someone else will chime in that has one ready to go. Mine is
in the kitchen not plugged in....

Saber 1

Post by 1 Adam 12 »

Yes, it will work with a Saber 1 in it. The usual buttons such as monitor, volume, etc all work on the SVA... If you are using a System Saber 1 and have a display mike, if you program the names in, they will display on the mike, even though the radio doesn't have a display. The PTT also functions as do the side keys with a Saber 1.

SVA question...

A standard Saber I when placed in a 5487 SVA equipped with a 6150 display mic will display all segments of all characters at all times. The three red buttons do nothing. The PTT works fine but that's the only thing on the 6150 that does anything.

If you're running a 6D or 8D Saber I don't know if the RATT buttons on the 6150 will work.
