A quick look at it tells me I can spend less on a HT-1000 & get 6 extra channels...

I haven't had a chance to look at one in the flesh...

Problary the same construction as a GP2000. If u want to look professtional stick to the JEDI series or a HT1250's

I think that this is the same model that Bearcom has stuck there name on the radio.

I know someone who purchased some of these for "the price" of the radio. He threw them on Ebay and ended up buying PR400's. Not really an upgrade but some what of one.

I called up that link for the AVX HT, and I have to wonder why it is that manufacturers are still furnishing radios with NiMH instead of LiION batteries, except for Vertex, that is.

Is this a RSS programmable radio? Looks like something they might use some strange button press combination for.

What is it based on?

By golly it's an FCC approved GP2000

I wouldn't use that radio either- but I would/do use a GP2000- The FPP is nice granted it's a "made for" Motorola radio, rather than a "made BY" Motorola radio....

These things are being sold all over the place, by all kinds of retailers, with "programming". Has M changed its policies, I wonder?
