need help! ht1250ls

recently got a few 1225ls for the company and now I am thinking of getting a ht1250ls for my radio at work. a few questions

how long is the warranty? the one I am looking at is a 08/00 date code and I want to the firmware updated.
next the guy states the bandsplit is 450-520 but in his picture the radio is displaying 526mhz. Is that possible?
Also he says he got the radio from an M office when they downsized, how do I check the serial number to make sure when I send it to the depot they don't keep it and send me a nasty letter.
serial looks like 745TAUF370.

batteries are usually 1 year radio is 2 i believe

The back of my HT1250 states that it has a 2 year warranty. Also, the CPS will allow frequencies between 450.0000 and 527.0000.
