Depends on the firmware revision in the radio. If it is a 760"G" and the triangle in the kenwood logo is red, then it probably will. The easiest way to test is to read the radio with the windows software, then immediately write the read codeplug back to the radio. If there is a firmware issue, the software will tell you before it writes and let you cancel. BTW, this works for all Kenwood software when you are not sure of the firmware revision. Example, KPG-49D for windows will not work with the version 1 firmware.

I love Kenwood software. So much more user friendly than the "M" stuff.

It is a TK-760H with just the display that says Ch. 1 and so on.

So is it KPG49 or 56? or 29?

If it is a TK-760 or TK-760H, you can only use KPG29D. KPG29D was never released in a windows version. It is DOS based only.

If it is a TK-760G or TK-760HG, you can only use KPG56D. KPG56D is avaliable in windows and DOS version.

KPG49D is only used for the 80 series (TK-280, TK-380, TK-780, TK-880) It is also avaliable in DOS and windows.
