Unitrol touchmaster or Smart Siren?

Post by Fireman90 »

Hi everyone, quick question...
does the unitrol touchmaster sound the same as the federal signal smart siren?

Thanks

No. SS amps are very unique sounding.

However, the new unitrol units sound more like FedSigs since FS bought out unitrol quite a while ago. You will notice the difference if side by side, you have a unitrol touchmaster or omega that bears a DN (dunnbar-nunn) vs. a FedSig sticker. The DN models are great.

Almost all of the DN unitrols I know have outlasted several fleet vehicles they were installed in.
