To Access the programming mode, Power on the unit, press and hold the * key , then also press and hold the 3 key continuosly until the display indicates program mode access by showing the first two dashes and three decimals lit (this takes about 3 seconds). THe fourth decimal lights after the * and 3 keys are released(Display shows [ - . - . . . ]). Do you guys need the whole manual or just the programming section? I've got the book right here in front of me.

Um, try clicking on the "email" icon at the bottom of his post. It'll send an email to whatever address he registered here with.

Hey Mikey I have a customer who has a model 5 with no manual and needs it set up for him. If you still have a copy of the manual and are willing to send me a copy I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch.

If you are still willing you can send it to: cffeine@yahoo.com

Thanks again.

Not a Problem, I will have to send it in several emails as if i try and send it all in one they usually spit it back to me for Exceeding the mb Limit of an email. Hang tight and i will send it over now.

WELL, I seem to have a similar problem of getting a Zetron Model 5, for ham radio use, but no manual.... If Mikey has the files electronically, could you inconvenience some electrons and send it to me, too ??? tiplerek@iwvisp.com WI6RE, Ed Tipler, using Kenwood TK-860 for mobile radios, and old GE MASTR2 Stations for repeaters....

I'm looking for a manual for a Zetron model 10A or 10 encoder. Anyone know how differant the model 5 is form the 10?

Either way, I'll take any information anyone has on either.

I'm really looking for info on the terminal block and dip switchs.

Thanks in advance.

I have had a Model 5 in the closet now for a while, and just dug it out and could really use it but I don't have any manual and cannot locate one online for download and really want to get it programmed up. Does anyone still have a manual they could share? Is it capable of custom tones? Since our department does not use standard tones. we use 2135 and 1800 two tones...

If I remember correctly the only way to get custom tones was to have zetron program you a chip with your non standard tones in it
