Smart Siren ss2000 controller cable

I just hooked up my smarsiren for the first time... but the control panel doesn't want to work. I think perhaps it's not the right controller cable.

The cable I have connected is a 4 conductor telephone cable that is configured strait thru (no twist). Is this right? Or is it 6 conductor?
I notice the jacks have 6 pins.

Thanks for the help (as usual)

is it the cable that came with it? or did you just buy any regular line cord?

it uses a normal 4 line cord.. but you have to take off 1 modular plug and put it on backwards.....

It's not the cord that came with it ... it's a regular RJ11 that I cut an end off and crimped a new connector... making it a straight thru cable.

So now it's:

BLUE BLUE
YELLOW YELLOW
BLACK BLACK

You need a "flipped" cable. Cut the end off and attach another RJ-11 as nypd indicated.

Thanks for the help.
I'm a little confused though since I thought standard phone cables are flipped like that.

Anyway... thanks for the help! Should be an easy fix!

UPDATE:
Yes indeed this worked. Thanks for the help!
