using windows 95 or 98 rss on windows xp

Post by tcash158 »

Is there anyway to get rss that needs windows 95 or 98 to work on windows xp, without loading it on another computer?

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here. The only software package I'm aware of that requires 95/98 is the 1225 series software. Up to version 3.2, it will run under XP, but it will not be able to acquire a COM port. Version 4.0 is designed to run under XP.

FWIW, XP has the ability to emulate both W95 and W98.
I don't know if that would help you but you might want to
investigate.
