It's 13 years old. Bust out a hole saw and install a proper antenna! Clean mount otherwise - I'm about to do something similar in a 2008 Toyota Camry.

Here in the US we make wide use of a Motorola permanent roof mount called
a TAD or TAE, but more commonly known as the NMO. It requires a 3/4-inch
(about 19mm) hole. If you can get the headliner down this kind of mount would
be pretty easy to install in your car. Antennas to fit this mount are widely
available.

I too agree put some holes in it! I like to use a chassis punch though. start out with a nice small hole enough to get the punch inserted and then crank down on it.. you will have a nice smooth hole.. I used one once and i will never go back to a "hole saw" again.

Looks like a nice fit. The antenna somehow is way to lengthy don't you have any problem on that one?
