Astro Spectra DEK

Post by Conundrum »

In the analog spectra, you could assign almost anything to the DEKs, in the Astro Spectra, are you still able to do this, or is it alot more limited?

Such as?

I only used a DEK for a short time, but I think you were able to do everything the spectra did, and maybe a couple more astro specific items.

I was looking and all it seams you can assign the DEK buttons to are the siren controls, status, and message controls, I couldn't assign buttons that would usually be on the control head such as Site, Lock, delete, etc... to the DEK.

That's pretty much correct. I've got a DEK on my astro spectra, and I find it very useful because you can set each DEK button to be a preset for a particular zone/channel combination. (MODE setting).
