XTS3000 Encryption Clone to another XTS3000

Post by adam010289 »

Greetings,

My question is, I have two digital XTS3000's. One is encrypted and the other is just out of the factory. Is it possible to copy the encryption to the other radio so I can use both on the encrypted network?

Thanks in advance.

No, you would need the keyloader that loaded the key in to the original radio, or a keyloader that has the same key programmed in to it.

There is no way to copy the keys from one radio to another using CPS/RSS.

No.

And how did you get a 3k out of the factory? they've been NLA for a while now...

Cloning of encryption keys with RSS/CPS or the ability to 'read' with a KVL would pretty well undermine the intent of using encryption.

Some large government service contracts still had up until the first of the year coverage for XTS3000s.

You have your own keyloader, write a key to the keyloader and load both your radios with the same key.
