Both radios will do MDC-1200 signaling even if the flash codes were only H35 conventional only.

The QCII is available on the XTS5000 after HOST 9 if I am not mistaken? Not sure on the firmware version needed on the XTS2500.The QCII is a standard option on both radios.
In Memory of those that serve.

QCII needs Host R08.00.00 or higher to work.. This applies to the entire Astro25 line..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
