xts 5000 service mode!

Post by paulabdou »

OK...

So when I power my XTS5000 on, and press the button on the side 5 times, it takes it into service mode.
My question is while it is automatically scrolling through in service mode, I press the emergency button on the top.
It takes me to a screen which looks like:

1 CSQ
25 *HZ

(The asterisk is either a K or a M, so its either Khz or Mhz, i forget)

So, it allows me to change the '1' to a '1,2,3,4,5,6'
It also allows me to change the '25' to 12.5, or 25

What is the purpose of this function in service mode?

To select the test channel, squelch type and bandwidth. You need to look in the basic service manual it tells all about it.
