XTS2500 LCD/Icon test...

Post by EindhovenOne »

Hello, all. I recently swapped a defective display on my XTS2500 with no problem and there doesn't seem to be any dead lines and what not but I want to make absolutely sure. Can someone please tell me if the 2500 has the same mode as the older radios where you can put it into service mode with the side button pushes to then get to the LCD test mode where all the icons are displayed? I know how to get the radio into service mode so it displays all the radio info one screen at a time but after that I don't know what button press-combo to do. Thanks in advance. -E

Once it's finished displaying all it's info in service mode and stops
at RF test, push the purple button once, then hold down the top
orange button. That will light all the led's, and turn on all the display
icons.

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
