Minitor 4 wont accept tone set...

Post by cduda »

I have a Minitor 4 Model A03KUS9239BC I need the tone set fron the Motorola Tone Group 6 (194) 1251.4 and it will not accept it. The codeplug version is 10.012 Firmware 9.40 Looking for some insight on how to get this to work.

I have a seperate Minitor 4 A03KUS7239AC Codeplug version 9.075 Firmware version states 0.00 and it will accept the needed tone and in the channel options does not have the the small table button to open up to look at the tone tables.

Please help as I really need this to work.

Thanks

Change the tone set from Motorola to User and you can enter the tone manualy, it may get rounded up or down but it will work fine.
It's more work than just entering 194 but that is the only way I have found to use the entire set of group 6 tones
Cause Motorola said so that's why

Ok great. I got that to work. Another issue...I have two sets of tones to put in...problem is tone b of one is the same as tone a on the other and won't accept it. Any way around this ?

On the second tone set, are you putting in the actual tone or the rounded off number from the first set? I run into this all the time with pagers. In my case, tone 1122.5 gets changed to 1122.2 by the program. If I use 1122.5 for the second set, it is rejected but using 1122.2 instead works OK.
